Then they’ve got the Big guns- WWII big machine guns like the M1919, British Bren Gun, or DP28 “Stalin’s record player.” You can also shoot current issue US military belt feds like the M249 SAW, or M240 Bravo, as well as the Monster Browning M2HB 50 cal machine gun. Tennessee Silencer is one of the only places in the country that rents a gun of this size to the public. New for 2025 they are shooting from a FV107 Scimitar Tank.
When visitors come to shoot they first come to the main storefront at 1471 Shiloh Church Rd., Seymour TN. From there they can load up in one of the store’s many military Humvees and are shuttled about a quarter mile to our exclusive private range. Many folks say that it’s worth the drive just for the free Humvee ride to the range in the up-gunned Humvees. The Humvees are not just shuttles, they have turrets on top for shooting some of the bigger guns like the M240 or M2HB 50 cal from the roof.
After a quick safety briefing, visitors can take their pick of guns from the menu and your range officer will guide you thru every step of the process: show you how the guns work, give you a little history, and coach you how to get the most hits on target.
While many customers are experienced shooters, no experience is necessary. Range officers just take a little extra time with new shooters to make sure the experience is safe and enjoyable. They use a variety of steel popper targets, paintable rubber shoot-thrus, old appliances. And for the bigger belt fed guns they always have an old car available to shred in half. For the flamethrower they keep a pile of logs that is continually being scorched into ash.
Tennessee Silencer is located in the middle of the beautiful Shiloh Cattle Farm just outside Sevierville TN. Its not unusual to daily see turkeys, deer, and the occasional bear while visiting. They are about 15 minutes from downtown Sevierville, about 25 minutes from The Island in Pigeon Forge and about 35 minutes from Gatlinburg. For more, visit TennesseeSilencer.com.
